Good day for the ol’ Brew Guide today, as we finally hit 1,000 followers on Instagram! Night Shift Brewing – Everett, MA

August is going to be very busy, unfortunately not really in the brewery hopping sense. Some people happen to be getting married and are really putting a damper on the ol’ Brew Guide travels. But, towards the of the month, you’ll be getting a bunch of new spots as I head up north for a whole week. I know I’ll at least be hitting Tuckermans (and might actually take enough pictures to post about it this time) and be revisiting Woodstock Inn, but I need more suggestions! Speaking of finally visiting places and taking enough pictures (barely), I spent some time at Night Shift on Saturday…let’s talk about it!

Newport Storm – Newport, RI

I should apologize for something. It’s been a real long time since I’ve given a Marvel update. Don’t worry though, I’ve still been on top of it!

Spiderman was a fantastic movie in case you somehow missed it. Tom Holland is waaaay better than Andrew Garfield and Michael Keaton sure can play a bird like no other. And then the ComicCon trailers for Thor & Defenders came out and look damn amazing. It’s a good time to be a Marvel fan, so much great stuff is happening.

And this concludes our Marvel minute. Now onto the beer with Newport Storm!

Magic Hat Brewing Co. – S. Burlington, VT

With all the excitement about the “I Drink New England” Shirts being released yesterday and my first try at beer journalism (please check it out and let me know what you think), I forgot to talk about the We’re Funk’d festival on What’s Goin’ Down!

Night Shift and Springdale put together an awesome first year event with a lot of really fantastic sour and wild beers. The German BSV Center in Walpole was a nice venue with the perfect set up for such and event. Next year should be a must attend for anyone that enjoys a bit of Sour Patch tongue. Only critique, hopefully next year they can get a few more food options and a bunch more porta-potties.

Time to put a wrap on Vermont for the time being, with a stop into an old favorite of mine, Magic Hat Brewing Co.

7th Settlement Brewery – Dover, NH

We’ve had a lot of Vermont recently, and we still have one more stop to go. But I think we need a little break from the Green Mountain State. So we head east to New Hampshire, where we took a stop into 7th Settlement Brewery on our way to North Conway for 4th of July weekend. Yea, I might be a little behind.

Oh well, let dive in!

Happy Monday folks, we’ve got a whole bunch of awesome coming to you this week! We put a wrap on Vermont for a while with 2 more breweries, take a quick stop into NH (hopefully, I need to make sure proper photography was taken), and launch “What’s Goin’ Down This Week” in email form on Wednesday! There’s a weekly write-up I do, perhaps you’ve read, called “What’s Going Down This Week“. It has news, events, beer releases, food trucks, and what’s in Brew Guide’s future! I recommend you check it out if you haven’t, it’s updated every Wednesday and gives you fun shit to do and a way to stalk me..if you’re so inclined.

And finally we get another long-awaited cider entry! Let’s get to the core of Citizen Cider! (I’ll see myself out…)

Foam Brewers – Burlington, VT

After having a late breakfast in Burlington last week, we spent some time exploring the waterfront. I’d like to say it was for exercise, but it was mostly because it was still 20-ish minutes before Foam Brewing was going to be open. While there we took a peek at the A_Dog Skatepark, which was hosting a kids skate camp. I bring this up because I heard a statement from a 10-13 year old kid at this park that surprised me, (I assume in reference to a new board) “I found it for cheaper online, but you got to support the local store.” Burlington is for sure a strange city, but there is definitely some things they do right up there.

Beer is definitely another one of those things and Foam Brewers is a big part of that.
