Dorchester Brewing Company – Dorchester, MA

I was starting up the laptop, fully prepared for a Game 3 of disappointment. It was already 3 – 0. I figured the game would make for background noise as I prepare my post for Tuesday. Then Acciari got the tip in. Then Backes makes the goal off Bobby Ryan’s complete fail to wrangle the puck. Then Pastrnak scores on the powerplay and here I am, finally typing during the second intermission.

Before the third starts, let me tell you about Dorchester Brewing!

Trillium Brewing Company – Canton, MA

If there is anything my opinion should be trusted on aside from brews, it should be movies. On Friday night I went and saw Logan, it was excellent. The action was great as you would expect from a Marvel movie, but the drama and the acting were fantastic. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and even that little girl who played Laura/ X-23 all knocked it out of the park. Go check it out, you’ll enjoy the hell out of it.

Also, prior to the movie there was a teaser for Deadpool 2, which is available online. Watch it. It’s damn funny.

With that I bring you a guide to Trillium, the superb brewery in Canton, MA!

Downeast Craft Cider – E. Boston, MA

Does anyone else miss football as much as me? I was out this Sunday in Cambridge at World of Beers (didn’t know it was a chain until I looked it up now)  and while we had a good time playing some board games, perusing the massive list of available beers (I went with Sip of Sunshine, as recommended on Friday’s Flight Plan) and eating brunch food, I couldn’t help but look at one of their many TV’s and wish it was literally any two NFL teams playing. Instead, all the TV’s had were college basketball (not much of a basketball fan), spring training baseball *yawn* and NASCAR, which is never fun. I’d take a Browns/Jaguars week 4 match-up over that any day. They should have a Bruins game every Sunday at 1 to give me something to still glance at between bites.

Anyway, prior to World of Beers we stopped in on the taproom I’ve been to the most, Downeast Cider. I’m going to let you know why you should frequent it often as well!

Cambridge Brewing Co. – Cambridge, MA

Sunday was really a day that ended up being a day where original brew plans failed. Luckily both times I was able to switch on the fly and everything worked out. The morning was spent dominating the ping-pong table at Revival, and at night I got to make a first time visit to Cambridge Brewing Company. Pro tip for all of you out there, don’t forget that if you have a Monday off, there are probably a lot of others that do too. And they are going to want to go out and drink as well. Maybe try to plan your night accordingly unlike certain beer bloggers.

Anywho, let’s get to it… Continue reading “Cambridge Brewing Co. – Cambridge, MA”
